Expert at Sheba Medical Center says jab raises COVID antibody levels, but there are ‘still a lot of infections’ among those who received it
It is clear that vaccines lower serious illness and hospitalizations from Covid. It may not be as effective in stopping the spread of the disease, however.
Countries with a higher percentage of the population fully vaccinated have higher COVID-19 cases per 1 million people. Iceland and Portugal have over 75% of their population fully vaccinated and have more COVID-19 cases per 1 million people than countries such as India, Vietnam, and South Africa that have only 10% of their population fully vaccinated. India, with over 1 billion people, has a 100 times lower rate of infections per capita compared to the US. Find out why.
